It's been a hot minute or two since I had last drafted a post...let alone publishing a post. Think of this as one of those holiday letters that goes with the annual Christmas card.
This time of year is filled with so many emotions. Kicking off my new job in November, my middle baby turning 11, and hosting Christmas for the first time have been joyful. The kids seem pleased with their presents and leftover munchies. Even the teenager seems happy (please let it last).
We still have our four cats. Two out of four are overweight and they all seem to like the house. We received a cat toy from my mother-in-law, and they find it very intriguing. The kitties are trying to get a portion of the holiday leftovers as well.
It's our baby's third Christmas and our second Christmas in this house. We expanded our decorations a bit and finally used our wedding china for the grownup table. We've been married for 18 years and never used it before. We supplemented our silver with my late grandma's silverware. I miss her!
For my old work buddies. I miss you all and look forward to seeing you in January. I'll be pinging you all periodically too. Congrats to all my buddies getting promoted Jan. 1!!!
I'm frantically wrapping my last test knit that I started in November. I have fun crafting plan ideas for the coming year. There might a few vlogs as well.
My teenager is off checking out after Christmas sales at the mall and we're building Legos and cleaning at home. Our New Year's Eve plans include fondue and I'm guessing Fallout Season 2 once the little guy goes to bed.
